I graduated from Central Gwinnett High School, where I met my wife Angela, in 1996 (yes, my wife and I were also Black Knights).
After graduation, I went on to play four years of collegiate baseball at the University of Georgia, the best university in
the world. At UGA, I majored in Social Science education, because I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, and history was always
my favorite subject thanks to some great social studies teachers here at Central. After graduating from UGA, my wife and
I got married in January of 2001, which is also the same month I came back to work here at Central Gwinnett. In 2003, my
wife and I had our first child, Maddie Beth. We also have a dog named Daisy, who is the craziest and most poorly trained
dog in the world.
Here at Central, I teach World History and also help coach the baseball team.
When I'm not working, I love to spend time outdoors. I love to hunt, fish, and camp. I also enjoy woodworking, and I'm
starting a new hobby: metal detecting.
